بكم هذ ا ال___؟ | bikam haadha al_____? | How much is this___(masculine object)? |
In this phrase, the definite article ال (al-) must be added to the noun that you are talking about.
But remember, if you know the object, then you know the object's grammatical gender, so you must appropriately change هذا to هذه if the object is feminine.

Note that there are two differences between the above phrases:هذا
(masc) vs هذه (feminine) as well as the beginnings of the verb to cost يكلف (yaklaf- masculine) vs تكلف (taklaf- feminine)
