Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is a video game that published by Activision, announced on February 11, 2009 and released on November 10, 2009. The game was the 6th in the Call of Duty series and was made available to be played on Microsoft Windows, Sony PlayStation 3, and the Xbox 360. The game is a first person shooter game following the special forces Task Force 141 unit as they hunt Vladimir Makarov - the Russian Ultranationalist party leader. The special forces unit is led by Captain Soap MacTavish. There are several playable characters for gamers to choose from. The game received great reviews and first day sales within the United States and the UK totaled $310 million. By 2010 it had reached over $1 billion in sales.
