Job vs. Career
A job is not necessarily a career. Let's take a look at how a job and a career may differ:
Job (noun) is
1. a position of ongoing or indefinite employment, especially where the holder is paid a wage or salary.
2. a specific task or set of tasks to be completed, possibly for compensation.
Career (noun) is a job or series of related jobs that a person develops expertise in and pursues for a significant time, especially with opportunities for learning, growth, and advancement.
*Tip/Hint: A job may be temporary, but a career is long-lasting.
Here are some examples of job and career that show the differences between the two:
1. "My job is to cook burgers at McDonald's."
2. "My career will be becoming a chef in a high-end restaurant."
3. "In college, I had a few odd jobs to pay my bills."
