Converting Fractions with a Denominator of 10 to Decimals
Fractions and decimals are both used to represent part of a whole. A decimal with one place value (the tenths place) is the same as using a fraction with a denominator of 10.
To convert a fraction with a denominator of 10 to a decimal, simply put the numerator after the decimal point. To convert a decimal to a fraction, if the decimal only has one digit (in the tenths place), use that digit as a numerator and put it over 10.
