Converting Fractions with a Denominator of 100 to Decimals

Fractions and decimals are both used to represent part of a whole. A decimal with digits in two place values (the tenths and hundredths places) is the same as using a fraction with a denominator of 100.
To convert a fraction with a denominator of 100 to a decimal, simply put the numerator after the decimal point. If the numerator is a one-digit number, place a zero in front of it to hold the place after the decimal point. To convert a decimal with two place values to a fraction, use the digits after the decimal point as a numerator and place it over 100.
