Superlatives * Description/Instructions Superlatives can be formed by taking the ending from the nominative form of the adjective and adding the comparative ending -issim plus the masculine, feminine and neteur endings (-issimus, issima, issimum). For adjectives ending in -er (e.g. acer, acris), the suffix will be -rimus, -rima-, rimum, and for those ending in -ilis, (e.g. facilis, facile), the suffix will be -limus, -lima-, -limum.
