Matilda by Roald Dahl tells the story of young Matilda Wormwood, a child with extraordinary powers. Unfortunately, Matilda’s parents do not recognize or understand her powers and are not particularly nice people. Along the way, Matilda gains the support of a kind and understanding teacher who recognizes that she has a special gift and provides her with the love and warmth she is lacking at home.
