This articles talks about GENDER agreement. You are already aware that nouns have gender, and that if they are used with a pronoun, the two must agree in gender. The same goes for adjectives. Nouns and the adjectives used to describe them must agree in gender.

Just like with nouns that can be both masculine and feminine, adjectives change from masculine to feminine with the addition of the taa marbuuta ة .
