Although an unofficial holiday, Star Wars Day is observed by Star Wars movie franchise fans each year on May 4th. The date was chosen because of the phrase "May the Force be with you", which leant itself to the pun "May the fourth be with you". The first organized Star Wars Day celebration occurred in 2011 in Toronto, Ontario. It was held at the Toronto Underground Cinema and festivities included a trivia game show, costume contest, and tribute films. The celebration of Star Wars Day has grown to include Disney Parks' events, Minor League baseball events, and there is even a spin-off of Star Wars Day called Revenge of the Fifth.
