Matt Damon is an American screenwriter, actor, and producer, who began his career in high school by acting in plays. He was born Matthew Paige Damon on October 8th, 1970, to Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Kent Telfer Damon. He was a good student in school and met his fellow actor and friend Ben Affleck in high school. Matt Damon went on to attend Harvard University but left before graduating to take the lead role in a film titled Geronimo: An American Legend. He also wrote an early treatment for the film Good Will Hunting while attending Harvard. In 1998 Matt Damon won the Oscar for Good Will Hunting.
