Jennifer Lopez is an American singer, actress, and dancer who began to become famous when she worked as Fly Girl dancer on the comedy show In Living Color in 1991. She was born Jennifer Lynn Lopez on July 24, 1969, in New York City, NY, to David Lopez and Guadalupe Rodriguez. Her parents were both Puerto Rican. Jennifer began singing and dancing lessons when she was five years old. She was educated in Catholic schools, where she excelled more in sports than in academics. In 1986 Jennifer landed a small role in a movie titled My Little Girl and she decided she wanted to become a movie star.
