Identifying Adverb Clauses

Adverb Clause-a clause that functions as an adverb in the sentence. It modifies a verb by telling us when, why how, to what extent, under what conditions. Begins with a subordinating conjunction. Here are some examples: if, when, because, although, after, before, while
Examples: When I grow up, I want to be an astronaut (modifies "want"-tells when)
I will help you if you pay me. (modifies "help"-tells under what conditions)
