Run on sentences

A run-on sentence consists of two or more independent clauses(complete thoughts) that run together, instead of being individual sentences or being connected with conjunctions or punctuation. There are two ways to correct a run-on sentences:
1. Separate the clauses with correct punctuation
2. Separate the clauses with an appropriate conjunction (and, but, or)
Example: My house is on Elm Street, it is a white house, the shutters are black.
My house is on Elm Street. It is a white house, and the shutters are black.
