Progressive Tense
The present progressive tense is used to indicate action that is going on now and is continuing. It is formed by using a form of the verb to be plus the present participle of the verb (ends in –ing). It can also refer to something that will happen in the future.
Examples: A. I am studying for my math test.
B. My mother is cooking dinner.
C. My older brothers are coming home for Christmas.
