Solving Word Problems Involving Perimeter

Perimeter is a measure of the distance around the outside edge of a two-dimensional shape. To find the perimeter of a polygon, add up the lengths of its sides.
If a word problem doesn't give you a diagram, it will give you the dimensions and you can choose to draw your own to help you visualize the shape.
