Properties of Operations - Associative Property

The Commutative Property of Multiplication states that if one pattern of a multiplication fact is known, the other pattern is also known. Ex: If you know 4 x 6 = 24, you also know 6 x 4 = 24
The Associative Property of Multiplication states that if you have three factors to multiply, you can multiply them in any order to reach your answer. In other words, 3 x 4 x 2, can be seen as 8 x 3 or 12 x 2 or 6 x 4 and all arrive at the same answer.
