Adjectives and Adverbs
Adjectives describe nouns (persons, places, things, or ideas).
Adverbs describe verbs (actions and states of being). Many adverbs are formed by adding –ly to an adjective.
Adjective example: That car is slow. (Slow is an adjective describing the car)
Adverb example: He drives slowly. (Slowly is an adverb describing the action of driving).
