Using Singular and Plural Nouns

Remember that a noun is a person, place or thing.
Example: mom, dog, book
Remember that a verb is an action word-it tells you what a person, place, or thing is doing.
Example: Mom walks. My dogs bark. The book falls.
If there is one subject of the sentence, you use a singular verb (which usually ends in "s").
If there are two subjects, you use a plural verb.
Example: My dog barks. My dogs bark.
